Solar Powered Drinking Water

Solar Powered Drinking Water is the pilot project with funding support from EEP-Mekong with aim at demonstrating appropriateness of renewable energy and water supply for community.

Project Renewable energy infrastructure installed under this project includes as solar powered drinking water supply and local institutions such including the as Commune hall and Junior High School are being equipped with solar arrays to provide powered for computers and lighting for students and for improving the communal administrative work.

The piped water supply is powered by a solar pump that is designed to provide have provided water access to more than 100 households to connect the piped line. The WASHE Committee defined and agreed the terms and conditions of the water tariff has defined and agreed and also, how the income from the water supply will be divided for operation, maintenance and keep for their critical purposes defined in the communal development funds plan for future water, sanitation and energy projects.
