I graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture Economics and Rural Development at the Royal University of Agriculture. I spent six months as a Project Officer Volunteer, where i was noticed by the management team and promoted to Project Officer.

Working and communicating openly with the local communities is always a challenge. Cambodian habits and culture sometimes make it difficult to help people see a new perspective on important issues such as safe water and open defecation. Breaking old or bad habits can be a difficult process and really becomes a challenge for NGOs. Despite these challenges, I am able to use my knowledge, skills and experience to help support and improve standard of living for rural Cambodian Communities, which makes love my work.

Special Thanks to Lyn McLennan:

Lyn McLennan was the Technical Advisor for RainWater Cambodia over a five year period from 2003 until early 2009. Much more than this however, she helped establish and maintain the vision for formalising the traditional practice of rain water harvesting in Cambodia. Her legacy is measured in terms of the thousands of lives that have been touched as a result and in the professional approach that RainWater Cambodia takes to all its work. Without her selfless support in time, money and material our progress would have been slower and our lives poorer. Thanks Lyn!
