RainWater Cambodia offers both professional and community orientated training sessions on a regular basis. Sessions are informative, hands on and with plenty of time for questions. Training is often associated with our ongoing programmes but we are also able to provide our services to other NGO's in the WatSan sector.
Every workshop or training session can be tailored to the beneficiary or your own organisations needs. Having said that, an example of one of our longer term training programmes is provided below:
Develop practical skills in rain water harvesting, project management , system construction, operation and maintenance
Part 1: System Installation Training (1.5 days) - Includes the technical theory for construction of rain water harvesting systems during which all aspects of these systems are discussed.
Part 2: Operation and Maintenance and Water Use Awareness (0.5 day) - Critical knowledge for later transfer to the participating households.
Part 3: System Construciton Training (14 days) - Six domestic size systems are constructed and this allows all participants several opportunities to practice every aspect of the construction process.
Part 4: Project Implementation (2 days) - Includes problem solving issues related to implementation, participant contribution and mobilisation. A field monitoring visit is included to allow theory to be put into practice.
